Meet Hon. Kurt Wuelper
I’m excited to announce my candidacy for State Representative for Stafford District 3, Barrington and Strafford. I was honored to serve as State Representative Representing the towns of New Durham and Strafford from 2014 to 2022.
I previously served as Strafford moderator and, currently, as Strafford school district moderator. I’m a veteran and served in the U.S. Army for almost 4 years of active duty, including 15 months in Vietnam and 2+ years inactive reserves. After earning my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UNH in 1974, I worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 34 years, the last 20+ years in the Shipboard Test Engineering branch. I also led the Boy Scout and Cub Scout programs in Strafford for many years. have lived in Strafford for over 30 years with Bethene, my wife of 40 years. I have a son and two granddaughters who live in Keene.
My Priorities
Low Taxes
Low taxes are the result of low spending. I will work to find ways to reduce the size and scope of our government, while ensuring NH is the #1 place to raise a family.
Protect Your Rights
I will fight to protect all of your rights in Concord, including the 2nd Amendment.
Reduce Business Regulations
The key to economic growth in our state is to improve our pro-business environment. This enables good jobs to keep our talent here after graduation.
